 "L.A.'s The Colour Elect is a band made up of friends that got together last year and started writing and performing music for the sheer love of it. That's the whole story, no fluff or pretense. Their alt-rock is energetic, doesn't run over itself with misplaced vocals or instrumentals and just plain sounds damn fine. They've recently released their first EP, Back To The Sky, and it contains six songs that would sound good on a CD or in your local club. Actually, there's so much musical diversity in the songs it's a testament to just how talented this band is. The hardworking band released the EP on their own and relies primarily on outlets such as this to spread the word about them. Consider the word spread, at least from here. Highly recommended, hopefully a band you'll hear lots from down the road." |
